What is Meditation ?
Meditation is a technique used to take your mind to a point of stillness and focus.
It helps free your mind from clutter, encouraging inner peace and tranquility
Its long list of benefits include reducing anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia,
high blood pressure and other stress related conditions.
When i began Meditation in the early 90's I trained in Transcendental Meditation,
practising T.M. Meditators could actually get a reduction on their life insurance
from certain companies.
There are various styles of meditation, but most styles originate from traditional
asian and eastern cultures. These styles often include a Mantra, sound, word or
phrase considered to have the ability to create a spiritual awareness or inner
peace within user.
I began taking my meditation more seriously when I began studying T.M. over
17 years ago. But for various reasons I began studying various syles and
techniques, which I now teach to all ages and abilities within Lanarkshire.
