| Stress of Today by

Stress Clinic
Most of us today
suffer in some capacity the symptoms of stress.
Unfortunately it seems to par and part of the culture of today.
The fast pace of juggling family life, with work loads, targets along
with other demands and commitments. The demands outweighing our
resources.
Pulling at the
scales we also have the negative demands on our body systems. From our
very own creations we have an environment of pollution, chemicals,
additives, stimulants and drugs. Noise pollution, where once the land
was quiet with the only the sounds of nature, we have the sounds of
traffic, vehicles, factories, air conditioning, tv, radio, music, air
traffic, this list goes on….
The known fight
or flight reaction once equipped us to deal with the necessary
temporary physiological changes to survive in pre-historic times. Fight
as in fight dangerous animals or enemies, kill in hunting. Flight to be
able to run and survive from the danger of man killing animals. Our
heart would become faster or breathing become quicker, the adrenalin
rush was necessary to help keep us alive when possible.
But our bodies would then sink back to our normal state and relaxation
with the pleasing sounds of nature, the peaceful countryside, no
technological noise pollution created by man, there was a general
slower and relaxing pace of life. Food without chemicals and additives,
medicine from nature.
We didn't have the same demands, challenges and stimulation that is
destroying many of us today
Although our
technology, society and culture has evolved throughout the centuries
our emotional, mind and physical body hasn't evolved aswell. How many
of us have evolved to cope with demands and stress of today ?
Very few of us know how to relax properly, many of us use sleeping
tablets, anti-depressants, mood enhancers, therapists, counselling. We
are unhappy and looking for something more perhaps contentment, peace
of mind.
Stress
Management is about helping to educate, inform and provide you with the
knowledge , tools and techniques to help minimise and manage your
negative reaction stress more effectively. It helps you live a more
balanced, relaxed but motivated and empowered life.
