Creative Visualisation & Imagery for Therapeutic Use
What is Creative Visualisation ?
Creative Visualisation is the use of one's mind and senses to imagine an object, place, behaviour or event. It involves using all the senses as we are not all highly visual.
Guided Visualisation or guided imagery is the process of guiding or directing the imagination. It is used in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and therapeutic story telling.
Creative Imagery is a highly effective mind technique used by Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein used daily by top professionals especially in sport psychology to help them set and achieve goals, induce relaxation and healing.
In therapeutic use visualisation can be used to retrieve and reframe memories to minimise pain and distress , it can aid health and wellbeing used for depression, anxiety and stress and used for self healing but should always be proviuded by a suitably trained and qualified practitioner. Guided visualisation can sometimes trigger painful memories locked into the obconscious from even the most assumed pleasant visualisation.Teachers and therapists using visualisation tools have suitable counselling and trauma de-briefing experience.
Creative Visualisation is a fun and exciting mind tool.
