What is Creative Visualisation for Therapy ?
Creative Visualisation and Guided Imagery for Therapy is an exciting therapeutic technique and mind technique used to to set goals, reduce stress, encourage wellbeing and trigger self healing.
It is used in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and in therapeutic story telling other than a regular tool used by creative thinkers and designers. A technique used by Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein. In therapy visualisation can be used to retrieve and reframe memories to minimise the distress of painful or stressful memories. It can be used to aid relaxation and assist health and wellbeing in a variety of ways through escapism or through assisted control over the bodies healing state.
This fantastic mind tool is fun, exciting and easy to use once you know how to. But with everything there are basic rules and ways to use visualisation, safely and effectively. This is particularly important with guided visualisation. One should never guide others in a visualisation unless suitably trained and qualified to do so.
Eileen has had a strong interest in visualisation techniques since her teens. Naturally creative, eileen used visualisation tools to learn and develop herself physically, mentally ane emotionally. She began to research and study visualisation and other mind techniques in her early twenties and has now been teaching creative visualisation for over 8 years. She is a qualified Adavanced Stress Adviser, Reiki Master who has been practising Meditation for over 17 years and has various related qualifications including Certificate- Creative Visualisation and Guided Imagery for Therapeutic Use. Eileen uses a wide range of techniques and tools in her visualisation work from colour therapy, cbt, nlp.....
